Notes:

According to a letter from the Maryland DOT, there was a small, interim printing of the base 1985-86 map in 1987 when Governor Schaefer took office. The new 1987 maps weren't ready, so the old mapbase from 1985-86 was re-issued with a new cover design. This map is noted below as [1987 A].

 

A series of maps issued from at least 1968 to 1979, maybe longer, are titled "with Wildlife Resources Map" or "and Natural Resources Map." These maps were issued by the Department of Natural Resources, and are not listed here. They do contain the official Maryland state highway map inside, along with natural resource information.

 

Although the Maryland DOT reports that no map was issued for 1988, there is a map titled "Maryland Scenic Routes" which was issued by the DOT. However, this is not a typical road map, so it is not included on this list.

 

"MSA" refers to the Maryland State Archives map collection.
