Notes:

Illinois has issued "official" state higway maps through the Division of Highways/Dept. of Transportation, the Secretary of State's office, and the Dept. of Commerce and Community Affairs. Therefore, there are three separate lists below. Maps noted as "reported by Peddicord" refer to an article entitled "The Evolution of the Illinois Official Highway Map, 1917 to 1992" which appeared in the Summer 1993 edition of "Illinois GIS & Mapnotes (Vol. 11, No. 2).
