Notes:

Maps dated 1941 and 1946-48 have two sides which could be considered the front cover. Only one is described here. The Iowa DOT reports many monthly issue dates during the 1930s. Each of these is not listed here. The Iowa DOT reports the following reprintings of recent years: 1986 map delivered March 1986, reprinted in March 1987 and Oct. 1987. 1988 map delivered March 1988, reprinted June 1988, April 1989 and March 1990. 1991 map delivered March 1991, reprinted Feb. 1992 and May 1993. Other than the 1990 reprint of the 1988 map, these are not known to be dated differently from the original printing. A few minor changes (road updates, highway commissioner names changed) may exist.
