Notes:

According to the Georgia DOT, "the first official travel map for the state of Georgia was published in 1938." Reported earlier maps are probably internal publications not meant for public distribution.

 

The 1978-79 and 1979 maps have two sides which could be considered the front cover. Only one side is described here.

 

In the 1980s and 1990s, maps titled the "Official Tourism Map" and large sized copies of the Official State Higway Map have been produced and folded into the tourist magazines. These are not included on this list.
