Three categories of information are included, separated by semicolons:

Year:
The year attributed to the map. This may be a single year, such as 1961, or a dual year, such as 1938-39. If there is no firm indication of the date anywhere on the map, then it is enclosed in square brakets [ ]. If the date is unsure, it is followed by a question mark. Approximated dates are preceded by the letter "c.".

Date:
Location(s) where a date is found. Dates on the cover usually take precedence over different dates found elsewhere, which are listed in parentheses. Also, if a month or specific date is listed, it is included in parentheses as well.

Cover desctription:
Brief description of cover. If cover picture is described on map, then description is listed in quotes. Otherwise, it is listed without quotes.

Folded dimensions:
In inches, width by height. Rounded of to nearest quarter inch.

Varieties:
If more than one variety exists for a given year, each is given a letter (A, B, etc.). Differences are indicated in the cover description area.

Examples:
[c.1924?]; not dtd; bw text cover; 3.5 X 5.75
